The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is located in the throttle body a the end of the shaft opposite the throttle cable attachment. Some are permanent / no serviceable. Some can be replaced and with a little ingenuity/skill, even the permanent can be replaced as there are replacements available for all year models.
On my 1997 Silverado the TPS is right in the accelerator pedal. Look close at your pedal for the wire and plug in module.
The TPS sensor is mounted on the throttle shaft on the opposite end of where the cable attaches.
