What would you like to do?
The complete trim cover of the third brake light needs to be removed. 1. Open trunk to access several screws that fix the trim cover in backward direction 2. Open convertible… top at least slightly to find the hex srews that hold the trim cover in forward direction (they are upside down and cannot be seen from the top) After all screws are removed the trim cover can be lifted. The brake light is of the sealed LED type and can only be replaced as a whole unit, unless you repair it on your own.
Answer I assume you only need to change the bulbs. Go into the trunk and look up. You should see the wires leading to the mounting point for the third bra…ke light, you candisconnect the connectors and then change the bulbs this way.
oh ugh... oh ugh... this little thing is hard to get to but well worth the effort to replace yourself. up above or behind your pedal there are two switches (it has been a whil…e since i replaced mine so these are general locations) supported by a beam. the switch that is connected to your lights is also part of your cruise control system. there is a connector on the back to unhook once you get it removed from the support beam. the switch will require some force to remove it you just push in the direction that is away from the pedal. once you get it out unhook the connector and remove the old one. that is only 1/3 the battle.. putting it back in is harder than getting it out.. (isn't it always that way?) i recommend hooking the connector back up and then trying to put it back into its place. you have to force it back into the retaining hole and then make sure that it is far enough to contact the brake pedal when it is not pressed. have a friend (or check when its dark before driving) assure that your brake lights are now working. if they are working go out and check if the cruise control cutoff is working by setting your cruise control and pressing the brake. like normal it should deactivate your cruise control speed and allow you to coast. if not the switch is defective.
underneath the brake pedal
under the hood on the drivers side towards the firewall.
On the turn signal indicator arm. Switch on the headlights, make sure the high beam is off, then pull out the rotating light switch.
The one thing I would do is go to Wal*Mart, and find the book for the make and model of the car, and buy it. Go home and take out the bulb and go buy one and then install it y…ourself.
Yep, My sister owns one, have seen it If you have trouble with yours please include problem, and year of car
Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe/caliper and remove the old brake pads. Put in new brake pads, replace the brake shoe/caliper, replace the tire and low…er the car.
Blown fuse, failed bulbs, bad switches, etc.
Location? Usually at the upper end of the brake pedal (under dash)
The thermostat for a 2004 Sebring Convertable is in under the water outlet for the BOTTOM radiator hose. This is behind the alternator which will have to be removed, aft…er you remove the belts. Plan on an afternoon of work. Hope this helps.
Brake switch is bad. It should be at the top of the brake pedal under the dash.
On the brake pedal bracket under the dash. On the brake pedal bracket under the dash.
It is under the dash, just above the brake pedal.
