If there is an expiration date on canned food, it will generally be on one of the can ends. Sometimes you might find it on the label. Not all canning companies will put an expiration date on their products.

∙ 15y agoThat will depend upon the manufacturer. The date can usually be found somewhere on the lid, but it can also be found on the body of the container. There is no specific requirement about where the date should be placed.
