This fuel pressure regulator is a component part of the SFI (sequential fuel injection) assembly, sometimes referred to as "spider". It resides inside of the air intake plenum and is accessed by removing the upper half of the intake.
need to replace the fuel regulator in my 2000 gmc jimmy, needing a diagram of motor can you help? thanks
the simple answer is YES. though, a 94 would be either a t.b.i. system or early vortec. if it is a vortec, the swap shouldn't require a p.c.m. reflash- however if your 94 is a t.b.i. you will need to change the intake and fuel delivery systems to handle the 60 p.s.i. operating pressure for the vortec engine.
in the intake manifold
The fuel pressure regulator in that 96 GMC 4.3 TBI is located in the throttle body.
The v8 engine 2002 GMC Jimmy 6 cylinders can be replaced with the GM Vortec 4200 straight-6 engine.
57 - 61 psi for the 95 jimmy 4.3 vortec so it is probable the same
The firing order for the 4.3L engine is 165432
5 quarts
where is my voltage regulator located on my 1997 gmc jimmy
The fuel pressure regulator is located under the upper intake manifold and is attached to the injection "spider". The upper intake manifold must be removed to gain access to the regulator.
you would need to change the cylinder heads also.See link below
it should
