I assume that you are asking about the air conditioner on your Outback.
Find the A/C compressor under the hood. Trace the larger of the two tubes coming off the compressor. The port is usually located near the firewall. Cap is usually blue and has a letter "L" on top.
If you are recharging the system the connector on the refrigerant can will only fit on the low side port.
