Just above her right shoulder; i.e. on the left side of the coin as it faces you.
P = Philadelphia
D = Denver
S = San Francisco
Anthony dollars were the first coins except for 1942-45 "war nickels" to carry a P mint mark for Philadelphia. Starting in 1980, all other Phila. denominations except cents now carry a P as well.
It's on the obverse (heads) side, just above Anthony's right shoulder.
On left, above shoulder
Check that coin again. If it's dated 1896, then that's a Morgan dollar with an image of Liberty on the front. The Susan B. Anthony dollar wasn't introduced until 1979. The mint mark on a MORGAN dollar is on the reverse side, near the bottom, just above the letters "do" in the word "dollar."
The coin is a SACAGAWEA dollar NOT a S.B.A. dollar. 1999 was the last year for the S.B.A. coins. 2000 is the first year for the Sacagawea dollar. It's just a dollar, spend it.
Susan B. Anthony only appeared on $1 coins issued 1979-81 and 1999. Please don't assume EVERY woman on a U.S. coin is her. In fact, the vast majority of U.S. coins with a woman on them carry a picture of MISS LIBERTY, as in "Statue of ..."!!!!
$1 to $7500 depending upon the mint mark, the variety and the condition of the coin.
All SBA dollars should have a mint mark above the point of her collar, on the coin's left side. They were struck at all 3 mints so you could see a P, D, or S.

With the date of 1979 the coin is a Susan B. Anthony Dollar, none contain any silver and most all are face value. The mint mark is on the obverse (front) of the coin above the left shoulder.
Regardless of mint mark only proof and mint state coins have more than face value.

Fortunately the initials "SBA" are enough to identify your coin as a Susan B. Anthony dollar. "FG" is not a mint mark - it's the monogram of the designer, Frank Gasparro. Please see the Related Question for more information.
