there is no oil dipstick. The oil can be checked electronically from the dash computer system. On CLK 320 there is however a dipstick tube and a cap on it and same for the automatic transmission . ZD Mak tools and Samstag tools sell dipsticks for Newer model Mercedes but the dipstick should not be left in the oil dipstick tube -- only use for checking oil level with engine not running . The AT dipstick however is inserted while car is in park , engine running but is also not left in place . Very easy to overfill AT so only add 200 cc ( baby bottle and slim ,rolled paper funnel works well ) between measurements . AT fluid level not at all prone to dropping unless leaking which is rare on newer models .
The MB 320 engine has NO dipstick! Oil level is monitored and shown on the digital portion of the dash instruments.

The transmission dipstick is generally located at the top of the motor, behind the oil dipstick. This stick is often closer to the firewall than the oil dipstick.

the engine oil dipstick is right in front of the motor between the motor and radiator, if factory it will have a bright yellow handle that is completely impossible to miss

On an automatic transmission Jeep Wrangler there are two dipsticks. The engine oil dipstick is on the side of the motor, while the transmission dipstick is at the rear of the engine.
After opening the hood, look at the top of the motor, the transmission dipstick should be about center and slightly back you can tell by the long tube leading up to it from the passenger side of the motor. The oil dip stick comes up next to the power steering pump on the drivers side of the motor.
