If your seat heater isn't working it's likely the relay which is located underneath the seat mine is also broken and the part is almost $100 fromt he dealership to replace - I have not done so. :-)
you could check out a local junkyard though for a totaled car that still has them
My seat heater stopped working. Is there a fuse for this? I can not find anything in my owners manual about the seat heater.
Should be 1 bolt in each corner
e heat echgers go bad in the seat, call the a jeep dealer it might be a recal. it is in my 2001. This problem was a recall issue for Chrysler and they should repair it at no cost. You're lucky!!!! The seat heater has two fail modes...stops working or seat catches on fire.
the fuse box is under the back seat
The fuse is in the passenger side kick panel, in the fuse box with the rest of the fuses. It is fuse #12 and is partially hidden by the kick panel. Is is on the edge of the fuse box towards the door. The diagram for the fuses is on the inside of the fuse box cover you remove to get to the fuses. The same fuse also supplies power to the heater control panel, so unless your heater control panel is dark the fuse is not blown. There are also relays that control the seat heaters--one under each seat located on top of the upper seat frame rail.
I have not tried to install a seat heater. Assuming that you have a seat with heater that you wish to use, Subaru tends to not include the wiring unless that option was ordered from the factory. You will need to install all wiring up to the fuse panel.
fuse box under the rear seat, fuse# 17
Under the seat in the main fuse box!
The 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee driver's seat heat fuse is located under the dashboard in the fuse panel. There is a secondary fuse panel located in the engine compartment as well.
Under the back seat
There is a rear underseat fuse block located below the rear (back) seat on the drivers side of the car. Fuse labelled #2
The car seat fuse is located in the fuse box under the back passenger seat. (Driver's side). Lift up the back seat with the latch release loop located in the center of the seat, between the seat itself and the back of the seat. The fuse box (should be) covered with a black plastic cover. Lift up and out on the bottom of the side closest to the center of the vehicle. The fuse is a 30 amp, large fuse located in position 08. The inside of the fuse box cover should have a diagram of the fuse box, along with short descriptions of what they control. That said, seat fuses rarely go out. if the back works, that tells you that the fuse is good. Next you need to look for loose connections in the circuit. Last of all, the seat gets a lot more movement and flex than the back. If you cannot find an open connector, the flexible electric resistance heater in the seat may have a break in it that prevents the heater from heating. You will need to find the wiring diagram for the seat heating circuit to determine exactly where the break is, wiring connection or flexible heater.
