The previous answer is ridiculous but I left it out of consideration for the misinformed individual that wrote it. Palm Treos do not run Windows OS- they run a Palm OS. There are, however, Treos that operate using Windows OS. I made the mistake of switching from a Palm Treo 755p to a BlackBerry Tour. The Treo does everything that a BlackBerry does and is much more capable, in my opinion. The touch-screen features make editing messages and retrieving information MUCH EASIER. As of late, Research In Motion (RIM) has been experiencing a number of painful service outages- email and browser services haven't been working and go out frequently (do a Google search). The fact that I bought my Treo three plus years ago and like my three-year-old model better than my new "flagship" BlackBerry Tour should speak volumes. If you've never had a Palm Treo, I'm sure you'll think your BlackBerry is just fine- but for those in the market, do yourself a favor and buy a Treo (Palm). ********* BLACKBERRY BY FAR A blackberry is better than a trio because a blackberry has internet, texting, and is very usefull to use for teachers to put all their schedules in it to keep track of. Depends, There are some good models on each. look at what you need. There are other PDA manufacturers. One of the big things to keep in mind when buying a pda is what are you using it for. The blackberry is a very well rounded device, able to sync up to 10 different email accounts to it, download additional software and apps, and to be used as a tethered modem for a laptop. It runs an OS developed by RIM ( Research in Motion) which tends to be a little less "buggy" then the windows based OS of the palm brands. Palm on the other hand is more like your traditional pda from the late 90s, meaning it is very easy to make lists on, as well as keeping a calender that syncs wirelessly with your computer. The touch screen that comes standard on a Palm is a big thumbs up as well, giving you the ability to actually "write" on the device, which speeds things up considerably
