your kidding right?
A .41mag is more powerful then a .357mag. But less powerful then a .44mag.

What calibre Desert Eagle did you have in mind? The Desert Eagle came in .357 Magnum, but was also available in several considerably more powerful calibres, including .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .440 Cor-Bon, and .50 Action Express.
They were manufactured in .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Remington Magnum, .440 Cor-Bon and .50 Action Express
The Desert Eagle comes in the following calibres: .50 Action Express .44 Magnum .357 Magnum .440 Cor-bon .41 Magnum .357/44 Bains and Davis (Israeli Prototype only)
It's 12.7mm. Calibre is 1/100th of an inch. So, a "50 Calibre" gun, which is what a Desert Eagle is and on paper would read ".50cal", after the conversion to mm, which is 25.4mm to 1", would be 12.7mm.
The Desert Eagle is a pistol, and some of the cartridges it is available in are marketed as Magnum cartridges, including the .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, and .44 Magnum. The .50 Action Express is not, however, billed as a Magnum cartridge.
The Desert Eagle was never made in .40 - available chamberings included .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .50 Action Express, and .440 Cor-Bon.
The cartridge it fires is certainly much more powerful... the Desert Eagle is available in a number of cartridge - .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .50 Action Express - all of which are substantially more powerful than the 9x19 cartridge used by the XR-9. As for the construction, I cannot say for certain, as I have never actually seen an XR-9 pistol, but the Desert Eagles are pretty solidly constructed guns, so it would take a lot to convince me of the XR-9 being sturdier.
Nine rounds for the .357 Magnum model, eight rounds for the .41 and .44 Magnum models, seven rounds for the .440 CorBon and .50 Action Express models.
