The only difference between these two pills is the amount of acetaminophen (Tylenol) contained within. As to which one is more effective, it can depend on what kind of pain you have. If it is an 'inflammatory' type of pain that Tylenol works really well against, more Tylenol (10/500) would be better. On the other hand, some people report that the hydrocodone is more effective with less Tylenol, and prefer the 10/325 combination instead. I believe the phrase "More killer, less filler" is used to express this preference :)
Hope that helps!
Hydro 10-325 means the pill has 10mgs of hydroocodone in it and 325mgs of acetaminophen in it per pill and the 10-500 has 10 mgs of hydrocodone and 500 mgs of acetaminophen in it per pill and they last longer and are considered stronger than the 325mg pills.
10-325s. 10 or the 5 value is your narcotic value.
One has 325 mg. Acetaminophen, while the other contains 500 mg.
10-325 is twice as much as 5-325.
10 325
Hydrocodone is not percocet. Percocet is a combination oxycodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is the active ingredient in brand name Vicodin, which also has acetaminophen in it. The difference is that oxycodone is a little more potent than hydrocodone, but both are very effective for treatment of pain.
Apparently this is Lortab, a narcotic pain reliever. Contains 500mg Acetaminophen and 7.5mg Hydrocodone.
The brand name for a prescription drug that combines acetaminophen with the opioid pain reliever hydrocodone is Buy Hydrocodone Online
Vicodin is classified as an analgesic (pain medication) that is a combination of the synthetic opiate hydrocodone and acetaminophen, commonly known by the brand name Tylenol. Other brand names of the hydrocodone and acetaminophen combination include: * Lorcet * Lortab * Dolacet * Anexsia * Zydone * Norco
vicodin... darvocet is like strong tylenol. vicodin contains hydrocodone as its active ingredient, making it a pain killer. darvocets active ingredient is naproxen which is a pain reliever.----Darvocet, while it may not be much more effective in pain relief as naproxen, is NOT the same thing. it is a synthetic opioid analgesic (propoxyphene) combined with acetaminophen (Tylenol). It is a very weak painkiller. Vicodin is a combination of the moderately strong opioid hydrocodone and acetaminophen. While Vicodin is much stronger and more effective at relieving pain than Darvocet, they are both narcotics.
Acetaminophen is also effective against pain, but its ability to reduce inflammation is limited.
No. Hydrocodone 5-325 contains 5mg hydrocodone (narcotic pain medication), 325 acetaminophen (Tylenol) per tablet.
Opiate Hydrocodone is an antitussive (cough suppressant) and analgesic agent for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain. Studies indicate that hydrocodone is as effective, or more effective, than codeine for cough suppression and nearly equipotent to morphine for pain relief. Hydrocodone is the most frequently prescribed opiate in the United States with nearly 130 million prescriptions for hydrocodone-containing products dispensed in 2006. There are several hundred brand name and generic hydrocodone products marketed. All are combination products and the most frequently prescribed combination is hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Vicodin®, Lortab®, Lorcet®).
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is a non-narcotic med for pain and fever; hydrocodone is a narcotic opiate-type analgesic.
Lortab is a medicine used to relieve pain (acetaminophen and hydrocodone).
I believe you are referring to Norco, which is a hydrocodone/acetaminophen combination medication used to treat moderate to severe pain. Hydrocodone is typically viewed as a moderately potent analgesic. Its combination with acetaminophen increases its potency and allows for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, in appropriate individuals.
Hydrocodone-APAP elixir is a liquid pain medicine that has two components: the hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever and the APAP part is acetaminophen (Tylenol.) The same combination in pill forms are known as Lortab or Vicodin but are most commonly dispensed as generic formulations.
