For regular verbs the past participle is always verb + ed. eg walked talked listened.

For irregular verbs the past participle can be

the same as the base verb eg cut - cut, hit - hit.

spelt differently eg run - ran, begin - began

a totally different word eg buy - bought, bring - brought.
