The question is basically unanswerable because there are lots of things that could be considered "the smallest thing in the universe" depending on what metric you use. Also, for a lot of them, no one person "discovered" them, it was the result of a lot of people and eventually enough evidence accumulated that most people decided "Hey, what that guy said 20 years ago makes sense."
La Pequenita, the world's smallest volcano, was discovered in April 2014 in Columbia.
because matter is not made up of particles so an aton is the smallest thing! :)
Well, atoms are the smallest objects in the universe. Everything is made up of atoms. That means that bacteria is made of atoms!
`Solar system` is the smallest. then `Galaxy`, then `Universe` is the largest.

The biggest single thing in the universe that has been discovered is VY Canis Majoris, an incredibly massive star.

The answer to the enduring question of the smallest thing in the universe has evolved along with humanity. People once thought grains of sand were the building blocks of what we see around us. Then the atom was discovered, and it was thought indivisible until it was split to reveal protons, neutrons, and electrons inside. These too, seemed like fundamental particles, before scientists discovered that protons and neutrons are made of three quarks each.
No. Scientists have discovered sub-atomic particles such as quarks.
the smallest thing in the universe. also its a vibrating string that creates energy. every thing is related though string theory.
`Solar system` is the smallest. then `Galaxy`, then `Universe` is the largest.
That depends where you are in space. If you are near Earth, maybe Pluto. If you are near Pluto, maybe Mercury.
There is no such thing. The Universe is much bigger than the Solar System - and there is only one Universe, at least only one that we know of.
an atom because it is the smallest thing alive in the universe and it would take about 100,100,000,000,000 atoms to be seen.
According to the String Theory. There is a 1D object called a 'string'. It is approximately 0.000000000001 yoctometers.
