Coca Cola was invented in 1886 by John Pemberton. It is said that the first year Coca Cola was sold, it ended up being a loss for Dr. Pemberton. By 1890 it was one of America's favorite soft drinks.

Dr. John S. Pemberton invented Coca- Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, 1886. Frank Robinson, his bookkeeper, came up with the name "Coca Cola" and created the now famous logo in his own handwriting.
