Darren White, At only the age 16 circumnavigated the globe; He used a sailing boat to cross water and trekked across land in just 79 days and 16 hours. He set sail from Cork and sailed to Lisbon in Portugal, from there he sailed for Sierra Leone. Darren encountered no problems until he reached Brazil, he got trapped under a boulder and broke every bone in his left arm. He supported it with an old jumper and two pieces of wood, despite this set back he kept going. He set off walking through Brazil across Columbia into Mexico all the way up to Alaska. From there Darren sailed across the north Pacific Ocean to Russia this was a treturas trek across Russia as winter was about to set in. He managed to cross Russia and into Finland with no trouble. As he crossed Finland the extreme fatigue set along with frost bite in his shattered left arm. From Finland he completed the final leg of his journey back to Ireland. Darren White a hero for many.
