Because the Pacific is farther away from Chicago than the Atlantic, I think it's 29 hours.
Homes? Most just swim around but some live in shells, rocks and/or come on land to rest.

Endless Ocean doesn't have any cheats enabled, looks like you'll have to go through the campaign to achieve what you need.
Nobody knows because it has never been done....yet. But Ben Lecomte who swam across the Atlantic from Cape Cod to France back in 1998 will be taking on the Pacific Ocean in 2012.
He will be swimming from Tokyo, Japan to San Francisco, CA. Estimated time is 5-6 months to complete. It's approximately a 5500+ mile journey and he will be accomplishing this my doing what is called a "staged-swim", where he swims for hours, then gets on a boat where he can refuel and rest then get back in. Approx. swim distance per day will be 40 miles. Using GPS technology, he will be re-entering the water in the exact spot he got out. This will enable him to officially be qualified for the World Record title.
A POA device will be used to ward off sharks, it sends out a magnetic signal to the sharks and annoys them which keeps them at bay. He will not be swimming with a shark cage, it will be Ben, a wet suit, snorkel and flippers.
Ben will be able to communicate with people on land while he swims, checking email and his social sites using s new technology prepared solely for Ben.
People will be able to track Ben live on the internet via Facebook and his website.
A documentary will be filmed capturing the journey.
Ben Lecomte will be embarking on this journey in the hopes of inspiring others to face their own challenges and struggles, work towards their goals and fulfill their dreams. It's a test of endurance, strength both physical and mental, but it's something that is in Ben's character, he has a mission and a dream to fulfill and is going after it.

the oceans are named by explores .like the pacific ocean was named by vasco Nunez balboa. He named it that by thinking about pacifiers and how it soothes a baby, because the ocean was clam. That's how the oceans get named.

A sudden or long-term heating of the water, causing overactive evaporation, with the right conditions, can cause a cycling movement in form of a storm(What a time to make a rhyme!) or worse, a hurricane. So down to earth, the cause of a storm in the Pacific ocean is most likely global warming or warm anomalies.
There are five such US States, choose three: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
This was on my homework (: The spanish made it about 7584 miles (with boat obviously ) And continued to make settlements between 1600 and 1785 ! Your welcome (:
The Marianas trench is caused by the subduction of the western edge of, the Pacific tectonic plate beneath the eastern edge of the smaller Mariana Plate that lies to the west. Since the Pacific plate is the largest of all the tectonic plates on Earth, crustal material at its western edge has had a long time since formation (up to 170 million years) to compact and become very dense; hence its great height-difference relative to the higher-riding Mariana Plate, at the point where the Pacific Plate crust is subducted. This, in turn, results in a particularly deep trench.
