Jesus of Nazareth was a man living in the early first century who began preaching when he was about thirty years old. He was brought up as a Jew in ancient Israel, but challenged the views of the Jewish laws and leaders. He emphasized love, forgiveness, service, and extreme generosity. He promised eternal life for those who followed his message, but also stressed that those that did not follow his message would not be saved. He denounced his contemporary Jews, saying that they stressed only silly, meaningless commandments, and had no grasp of forgiveness. This angered the Jewish leaders. He gained some popularity, but he surprised his listeners, who expected him to be regal, or to take on the Romans and defeat them. But he did not do this; in fact, he stressed peace. The Jewish leaders handed him over to the Romans, who crucified him. Many expected him to resist his crucifixion and fight back, but he willingly took up his cross, and died. This happened in (we think) 30 AD. Christians believe that two days later, Jesus rose from the dead, and that he then appeared to his disciples several times, before ascending into heaven. That is who Jesus was. What was his mission on earth? That is debatable. Some say he is God incarnate, who came down to save those who followed him. (One debate among those who believe this is whether or not people who lived before Jesus could have been saved.) One problem with this belief, however, is that Jesus did not begin preaching until he was about thirty years old. If he was God incarnate, then why did he wait so long? Others have answered this question by saying that Jesus was not born the Messiah, but became the Messiah only at a certain point. They believe that this point was either his crucifixion/resurrection or his baptism by John the Baptist. However, most modern Christians accept that Jesus was born the Messiah (Savior), and that he came to earth to save those who would follow him. Jews accept him merely as a prophet, but do not believe that he is God incarnate or the Messiah. They still think that the Messiah is a political Messiah, one who will save the people of Israel on earth. Muslims see Jesus both as a prophet and as the Messiah. No one knows for sure exactly what Jesus's mission on earth was. We can only theorize and believe.

I'm writing a book about peoples different faiths It doesn't matter what religion faith denomination you are Just tell me what you are Muslim Catholic Mormon etc And tell my your testimony?

I am mormon, here is my testimony of the church. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, I know that it was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith thru the power of Christ. I know that The Book of Mormon is true doctrine/scripture. I know it was written by prophets of old who were called by Christ. I believe that the Priesthood, the restored power of Jesus Christ, is once again on the earth and will not be taken from the earth again as said by Christ to his followers. I know that Jesus Christ is the only begotten and the son of God. I know that he died for my sins, and for the sins of the world, so that we could all return to him. I know that Thomas S. Monson, the current living prophet on this earth, was called of Jesus Christ. I know that my Redeemer lives, I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
