Iron Man is one of the most iconic heroes in Marvel, but in terms of performance compared to Captain America there's no question. Stark loses, every time. Yet, I still like him more. It's like comparing Batman to Green Lantern or Superman. You wanna root for him because he's awesome... but you know he'll fall flat on his face.
-But with the suit on Iron Man by far outclasses Captain America. He outlifts him by literally tons and does not take near as much damage from Captain America as Captain America takes from Iron Man. Iron Man easily defeated Captain America in one on one combat in their Civil War encounter. Iron Man had to back off for fear of causing serious harm to Captain America which he did not want to do.
