There are different authors for different answers on this site. The history of the question (accessible if you are registered on the site) will show all the people who contributed, but you will also see at least the most recent person listed with the answer, unless it was posted by an unregistered user, in which case it will say it was contributed by the community.
This is a wiki, which means that anyone can ask and anyone can answer, so there isn't ever a specific name you could use for all answers. In a Bibliography or Works Cited page, there are some entry types that don't require an author or that work for author unknown. If "Community" is listed for an answer here, you will have to use one of those.
Also, if you are citing this site as a source, I encourage you to fact check in other places as well. We try to monitor and clean out false or misleading answers, but we aren't always caught up, so it is definitely good to double-check the information you find here.
All the answers here on Answers.com are brought in by a wide variety of volunteers. You can always know who answered your question because it will have their username above their answer. If it says "Answered by the WikiAnswers Community" that means it was a non-registered guest users.
Answer.com doesn't have an author because a lot of people cooperate to answer the questions that others have. So the author is really all the people who answers questions that are been asked by others.
The person who wrote your answer is shown above it. Like you can see my name above this answer.
If there is no name, then the answer was written by an unregistered, anonymous source.
