Globalization has led to strong reduction of the "American Dream." The United States used to be one of the strongest manufacturing and textiles producing countries in the world. Now, the millions of jobs in the steel mills, coal mines, and energy sector are being outsourced overseas. Americans, especially the middle class, are finding themselves in tighter and tighter positions economically. Add to the equation that the American dollar continues to depreciate at a rapid pace and the whole economic avalanche of destruction continues for the average American.
As Cuban American indicates a United States citizen, then they would live in a Representative Democracy specifically a Federal Republic and economically a Captialist system. Cuban Nationals however, live in a Socialist Nation, specifically a Communist State which also governs its economic system.
Yes. Wages for Mexican workers are a quarter of what the average American is paid. Also, the maquiladora program in Mexico allows for relaxed environmental laws, less taxes and no import/export taxes. This allows to cut costs and improve the business bottom line.
Free market economy is the main driven force. In addition, American consumers demand for low cost merchandises that are not manufactured by high-paying American workers. Trade is a two-way street. China imports airplanes, corn, soybeans, machinery, high tech products which creates more employment opportunities in the U.S.
