The person that is lying there dying closed their eyes (windows) and then they could not see to see means they died.
The quotation is this:Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit,And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes,I will be brief. It comes from the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, and is spoken by the character Polonius.
Don't flirt with anyone else. ---- Drink to me only with thine eyes, And I will pledge with mine; Or leave a kiss but in the cup And I'll not look for wine. The thirst that from the soul doth rise Doth ask a drink divine; But might I of Jove's nectar sup, I would not change for thine. Just ("only") raise your eyes to me (as a person might raise a cup to make a toast--that is, to "drink to me"), and I will return that sign of esteem with a look that means a promise. Or pretend to breathe an affectionate (and intoxicating) sign into the cup and I won't desire anything stronger. The soul has desires that can't be satisfied by earthly substances. A glance from your eyes is more precious to me than the chance to share the beverage of the gods.
The correct expression is "the eyes are the window to the soul." This means that a person's eyes can reveal their true feelings, emotions, and intentions.
some say the eyes are windows to your soul. So the witch would be staring at youur soul.
"Eyes are windows of the soul" is a metaphorical expression that suggests a person's true thoughts, emotions, and intentions can often be seen through their eyes. It implies that one's eyes reveal their innermost feelings and personality.
Eyes are not so much windows into a person's "soul" (if you can define what that is), as they are a means of determining how an individual is feeling, if they're telling the truth, if they're guilty, lying, earnest, etc. Our eyes are very good at betraying our emotions to others and play a key role in face-to-face communication. So, do I think eyes are the windows into a person's spiritual soul? No. But we can come to consensus that how a person looks (with their eyes) can tell us an awful lot about who they are in the moment. Taking that into consideration, a individual skilled in reading "eyemotions" could conceivably "look into your soul", metaphorically speaking.
Brown eyes, like any color eyes, can be beautiful, but they may not be. It is said that "eyes are the windows to the soul." If this is true, the person's soul has a lot more to do with how beautiful the eyes are than the color of the eyes.
In sonnet 35, the speaker's eyes desire to look upon the beauty of the youth, as the eyes are the windows to the soul and crave the sight of the beloved's form to feed the soul's desire for perfection and fulfillment.
he hasn't really said but typically he like celebrity girls with dark eyes. i don't think he means color though, he probably means u look at him straight in the eyes and arent fake. like they say, the eyes are the windows to the soul. <3, m.r. Orlando fl
It is a quotation attributed to Henry Ward Beecher.
well i assume its because she was very fond of eyes and thought them to be pretty. oh yeah and they are the windows to the soul and such things like that.
Yes he really was a nice guy. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, therefore if you just look into his eyes, there lies your answers.

Here is something I have been wondering. why are the eyes called mirror of the soul ? I'm sure everyone here have experienced looking in someones eyes and getting strange feelings...sometimes eyes are cold as ice and sometimes they are deep and dark etc.. list goes on. but why is that so ? and don't tell me it's biochemical reaction. I would like to hear what you guys think about this. Nicca M. Alferez
