John the Baptist announced that Jesus was the Christ (ie the "Messiah"[Hebrew] or "Christ" [Greek]), as also foretold in Old Testament prophecies.
Roman Catholics believe it was St. John the Baptist.

He preached repentance, and baptized people, and told them that the Messiah was coming, and they should prepare for Him.
Several of the prophets told of the Messiah coming ,Isaiah told this 700 years earlier. even the prophet Malachi did prophesy about Jesus and his coming.
Isaiah and john the baptist told of the coming of Jesus.
Many of the parables Jesus told are about God's coming judgment on Israel and all of mankind. Throughout the history of mankind we can see that Has been loving and patient with mankind. Jesus reveals God's love to the people of His day and our day by warning of things to come.
An angle has to do with christmas because, the angles told the shepereds that Jesus, "the savior" was coming. and Christmas is celebrated because it is Jesus' birthday.
He is coming in the clouds as the two angels told us in the Bible. - (Acts 1.11)
Parables.
Jesus did not lie. He told truths that many people simply did not want to hear.
When she presented Him in the Temple, & Simeon prophesied "that a sword will Pierce your own Soul too."
As there were always people gathered to listen to Jesus speak, the story is told to the people.
Jesus told the man that his sins were forgiven. The religious leaders believed that Jesus did not have the right to forgive people of their sins. :)
One parable that Jesus told was about the Good Samaritan. The story was to get people thinking about their neighbors.
