There was no person called 'Leviticus'. The book of Leviticus in the Bible comes from the Greek translation of the scriptures called the 'Septuagint' where this particular book was called 'Leuitikon' or 'matters of the Levites'. The Levites were one of the twelve tribes of Israel, and were named after Levi who was one of the 12 sons of Jacob, (who later had his name changed to Israel.)
However, in one respect the book of Leviticus isnamed after people :-
Leviticus 1: Verse 1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle
of the congregation, saying,
The book opens with the Hebrew word, arq.YIw: vayiqara, which means "and He called...." This is the title of the book in the Hebrew text. The Greek translators of the Septuagint devised the title Leviticus as it deals with institutions committed to the priests, who were of the tribe of Levi.
The Talmud, for similar reasons, calls it "the law of the priests."
The Church is the eklesia, the "called-out ones." This is a book for those who are called out-saved: Thus, it is a message for [Christians]."

The Levitical law refers to a set of religious and moral laws outlined in the Old Testament of The Bible, particularly in the book of Leviticus. These laws were given to the Israelites by God through Moses to govern their worship practices, rituals, dietary restrictions, and social behaviors. The Levitical law also included regulations for priests and the sacrificial system in ancient Israel.

∙ 12y agoThe question is incorrectly worded as the Law is God's and no man's. The tribe of Levi was given the priesthood (Levitical Priesthood) which oversaw the points of the law.
There are many verses that tell us the Law belongs to God alone like in Psalm 19:7 which says, "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul."
The Law of God consists of His Commandments, precepts, and judgements. It is separate from the 'sacrificial laws' added about 1 year after the Sinaic Covenant.
By the time of Jesus' ministry on Earth, He was strongly critical of the way the Levitical Priests had done to the Law of God. In effect, they made it too burdensome for the people with all their 'interpretations' of the physical letter of the Law, forgetting the 'spirit' of the Law. Therefore, Christ corrected them and their interpretations and expanded the Law in the spirit too, as is the original intention of the Law of God.
The Law needed to be amended with Christ now becoming our Eternal High Priest (note: not done away with or fully changed). The sacrificial law ceased as did the Levitical Priesthood. You may read this in Hebrews 7.
