The first mention of St. Michael the Archangel - by name at least - is found in the book of Daniel. He appears in chapter 10, but the relevant prophecy is in chapter 12:

"At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people-everyone whose name is found written in the book-will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever." - Daniel 12:1-3.

It is also mentioned in Revelation 12:7: "And there was a great battle in heaven, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon."

Michael is the Archangel. His job is to contend with demons. Daniel 10:13 - But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Daniel 10:21 - But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Daniel 12:1 - And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Jude 1:9 - Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Revelation 12:7 - And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

In Daniel, if you read the whole story, Daniel had fasted and prayed for 21 days, and was visited by Gabriel the angel, and Gabriel was speaking, telling Daniel of his battle to get through, and was helped by Micheal,

because of these references, some of us feel that the "he who letteth will let" in 2 Thessalonians is not the Holy Spirit (the Holy Spirit is never shown as battling evil) but rather Michael the archangel.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Where do you find archangel Chamuel in the Bible?

According to the Bible there are seven archangels, although the name is mentioned only three: Miguel or Michael in English, Gabriel and Raphael. The names of the four archangels in the Bible does not appear, but they are mentioned in the apocryphal texts and the rabbinical literature. Chamuel or Camael is one of the 7 archangels and the leader of the choir master.Another answer:The word "archangel" appears only twice in the Bible (1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Jude 1:9); the second reference identifies him as Michael. No other angel is said to be an archangel, and the name "Chamuel" is not in the Bible. "Archangel" means chief angel, (or PRINCIPAL angel), meaning there is only one. Scripturally, it is never found in the plural.
