The Star Spangeled Banner was written to show and keep on memory, of the
beautiful and victorious sight that Francis Scott Key had seen while he was being
kept captive on an enemy ship. He saw the American flag, and felt greatly
proud. He wanted everyone to remember and know of that moment, to see through
his eyes as he had seen it. To this day, it is sung and thought of as amzingly
wonderful adn glorious. To describe what he say and see it through his eyes.To really
feel the emotion and excitement that he felt.
