During the first Battle of the Bull Run, Brigadeer-General Barnard E. Bee commented, "There is Jackson standing like a stone wall." As the war continued, through the tumult and the chaos, Jackson was continually complimented by his fellow Confederate soldiers for his keen skill and strategy on the battlefield, always steadfast and ready.
