The lower was climbed in 1829, on July 10th, a Russian by the name of Khillari Khachirov made it to the lower summit.
In 1874 by an English expedition led by F. Crauford Grove and including Frederick Gardner, Horace Walker, and Swiss climber Peter Knubel. made it to the higher summit.
There is only 130 ft (40 m) in difference between the two summits.
