her guards were called Crosses, They were large Highland Scotts. We thing they were McLean's of Duart. They were Called Crosses Because of the large Claymores they carried looked like crosses when they held them point down. Highlanders were famous for being very loyal, McLean's were protestant. She picked the biggest meanest she could get. She also liked that they spoke only GAELIC. MAKING THEM MUCH HARDER TO BRIBE.
