Lewis Carroll's real name was Charles Dodgson, and he was a mathematician and logician as well as a lecturer in Mathematics at Christ Church College, Oxford University. He was also an Anglican deacon and an amateur photographer.
Apart from writing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll also wrote its sequel, Through the Looking Glass as well as two other novels and numerous poems and articles.

∙ 14y agoLewis Carroll wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking Glass. He also published the novels Sylvie and Bruno and Sylvie and Bruno Concluded as well as numerous poems, the most famous of which being The Hunting of the Snark.
He worked at Christ Church College, Oxford as a lecturer in Mathematics and published many books on maths and logic under his real name Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. It was also part of his job at the college to serve as a church deacon.
As well as these pursuits, he was well known at the time for his amateur work in the fledgling craft of Photography. He had his own studio and photographed many famous people of the time.
