It could be anything, from low brake fluid to bad speed sensors.
You will need a OBDII engine scanner to scan the ABS system to see whats going on.
A Silverado C1500 is a 2WD light truck, K1500 is a 4WD light truck. Please clarify what you mean about the r and the v as I am unfamiliar with that coding.

First while your in drive, place the truck into 4wd from 2wd. Then place the truck in neutral. Make sure the truck in in 4wd. Put the truck back into drive and that's that.

If it is a 4X4 it is a K series if it is 2wd it is a C series
i have a 1990 silverado c1500....a half ton 2wd with long box and reg cab, a 5.0 305 and a 5 speed. i have a 38 gallon tank. you could have either a 25 or 38 gallon tank. its more of a option thing for each truck. you should look under your truck and see.
