Because the name of the party is and for more than a century has been the Democratic Party. The term "Democrat Party" is an intentional mispronunciation of that name, popularized by biased right-wing media including Fox News. No elected official of the Democratic Party, nor any member of its party leadership, has ever referred to "the Democrat Party." For some reason, some opponents of the Democratic Party derive their juvenile jollies from saying the name incorrectly.

The correct term is Democratic Party because it reflects the party's commitment to democracy and the principles of democratic governance. It is a more accurate representation of the party's values and ideology. "Democrat Party" is often used by critics in an attempt to diminish or belittle the party.
