Grey squirrels are more aggressive than red ones, and more genetically dominant.
red squirrels used to live all over Britain and some parts of Europe. then the grey squirrels came along from America and killed them into near extinction. the grey squirrels now dominate.
The grey squirrels carry diseases which they are immune to - but the red squirrels aren't. When they live in close proximity the diseases spread, causing red squirrels to get infected.
Species of squirrels are not "mean" to each other, they are just competitive - just as any human would be with another.
The Red Squirrel was originally from Scotland and the Grey Squirrel from America. They both thrived in their separate lands until someone brought over the Greys to the UK. They reproduced rapidly and stole the Red Squirrels food and attacked Red Squirrel populaces. Now the Red Squirrel is endangered. But NOT exctinct. The Grey Squirrels have not got rid of the Red Squirrels.
They reproduced and competed with the red squirrels. This helped the grey squirrel to spread over time.
It looks like a Grey squirrel but it is bigger and has red fluff on its stomach instead of white fluff like a Grey Squirrel. So its basicly like a squirrel but one that ant half fox half squirrel? No, it isn't half fox, it is 100% squirrel. Squirrels and fox can't breed. Their color looks some what like a fox.
It could be an Albino squirrel are just a Grey squirrel with a little white on it.
red squirrels are rare in the UK largely because they are out-competed and replaced by populations of the grey squirrels The red squirrel population have decreased because they only eat acorns at certain times. They only eat the acorns when they are ripe. As for the grey squirrels eat the acorns at any time of the year. So the red squirrels don't have as much food and can't reproduce as much. As well the trees are further apart and the red squirrels live on the trees most of the time and can't get about. As the grey squirrels spend most there time on the floor therefore can move about much more.
There are no wild bears in Ireland. Bears would only be found in zoos. The last bears died out in Ireland in the 10th century due to over hunting by the Vikings, probably to make themselves some nice warm clothes.

Eurasian Red Squirrels live in Europe and Asia, and Grey Squirrels live in the USA. Other than that, there really is no difference between them, only their color. Addendum to above answer: Actually, it depends on which type of Red Squirrel you are referring to. There is an Eurasian Red Squirrel which is native to Europe and Asia, and there is an American Red Squirrel as well. Both the Eurasian and American Red Squirrels are smaller than Grey Squirrels with the only other differences being the difference in the color of fur and the fact that Eurasian Red Squirrels have ear tufts that neither the American Red Squirrel or the Grey Squirrel have.
