The reason this is true is because people living in the UK are from all over the world so they tend to eat there traditonal food, so obviously supermarkets have to stock ingredients from the specific country or they have to have ready meals or takeaways of that tradtional meal or food. Also, if shops supply then everyone tends to eat it because it is cheap and easy to prepare.
