They present themselves in many forms and shapes. Many people think of them as people that have a halo and a pair of wings. I believe God had chosen a few to protect him and his people.

Answer

If one believes that God will communicate with man then one has to consider how he will do this. Most times when we need an answer we first reason the problem out in our mind, then after prayng about our findings God will answer us either by a still small voice in our mind or by a burning sensation in our breast. There have been at sundry times when an angel is required to re enforce Gods message to us.

Your question why believe in angels is a valid question. You may also ask why believe in God. If you do believe in God, then both God and the angels are inseperably connected.

I am a christian. Angles were basically created to be servants of God. not the kind that do his laundry and feed him kind but more like guard humans or preform tasks. angles have different tasks. we believe in angles because they play major roles in Christianity like delivering messages or watching over people.

A:Angels really only entered Judaism during the Babylonian Exile, although the concept has since been used to explain the pre-Exilic 'elohim ('gods') of the Book of Genesis. There is a parallel to angels in the Zoroastrian religion of the Persians, who were the benefactors of the Jews.

Angels became messengers of God, who no longer appeared in person or in burning bushes and the like, as he once had according to The Bible. They were also warriors and feature prominently in this role in the apocryphal book, 2 Maccabees. Particularly in Catholic belief, they are our guardians, with each person having a guardian angel looking over him or her at all times.

A:They guard and protect us.

There are some who believe in miracles and some who don't, and some who fall somewhere in between the two.

Some unquestioningly believe just about any supposed miracle they've heard about. It is not difficult to find fault with those who believe almost anything uncritically. If there is such a thing as a legitimate miracle, we don't want to be wishy-washy in what we call one.

Others believe that science rules out miracles. However, that is a philosophical, not a scientific position. There is no scientific test for ruling out miracles. Science can only test repeatable events, and one-time miracles are therefore beyond strict scientific inquiry.

Others recognize that while science and miracles are in separate categories, reason doesn't necessarily rule out the miraculous. Some are generally skeptical of reported miracles and want to apply various tests to check the credibility of reports by asking questions like "Is the witness credible?" or "Is there a simple naturalistic explanation?"

I personally believe in miracles because I've witnessed so many. I wasn't the type to believe in miracles when they first started happening, either. On the contrary, I was a hardcore skeptic. For some of what I have experienced that has lead me to believe in miracles.

The famous Christian author C.S. Lewis wrote a book on the topic called "Miracles" which offers great insight into the topic of why people believe in miracles.

Answer 1

The Hebrew word for angel means 'messenger', which tells us what is understood as the principal reason for angels. Angels would not need to exist if God were omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient (all-powerful, everywhere present at once, and all-knowing), since he would not need messengers either to inform him of goings on, nor to inform humans of his wishes. In spite of God supposedly having those attributes, it is the perception that God is not really omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient that has arguably led to the need to believe in angels.

Similarly, in the apocrypha, such as in 2 Maccabees, angels fight on the side of the Jews. Once again, this demonstrates that God is surely not all-powerful, because if it had been God's wish that the enemies of the Jews be defeated, he should have been able to accomplish this himself.

Satan, the devil, is thought of in Christian and Islamic theology as a fallen angel, His role is to exonerate God for all the evil in the world. In the absence of the devil, one could ask why there is evil in the world and not receive a satisfactory answer.

Answer 2

Angels existed before man was created. So too the Jinn beings. The Jinn and the Angels might also ask the same question "Why do man exist?". In fact, in the Quran an Angel did ask such a question "Why Allah would create a creation that will rebel". Allah said that Allah knows what they do not.

Surah 38:27 states that Allah didn't create anything in vain.

Surah 74:31 gives an idea of what the purpose of Angels are.

Also they were made to worship god.

Similarly dogs and cats and ants might wonder why Mankind exists. The simple answer is that God is the creator and never stops creating. The one creation will be a test to the other.
