Going with my experience and knowledge, i would say insecurity. If you are not the latest "thing" or an image of what others think you should be they tend to think you are boring. Also, if it happens to them, they want to look like they go along with the crowd and act tougher and cooler. They often tell secrets to feel apart of it, to be secure and feel like they are wanted and have a crowd of friends to be with. Me, i don't have to be with a crowd to be secure. I can be alone and feel fine. I don't need the image of POPOULAR to my name to feel wanted. Some do it to have pay back or in a fight. Just remember, don't ever, ever, change yourself to fit someone else's "clothes". You are you the way you are. Don't change to just be with the "in" crowd. And if you are smart in school and they disinclude you for that, remember that in the future you may become a doctor or lawyer and have made a great life for yourself, while they stay out partying and getting drunk and have to work the Night shift at McDonalds. Not saying that will happen but remember, hard work will pay off. God Bless all, have a beautiful day.
For whatever their reasons friends don't treat friends like this which you can conclude that they have never been your real friends in the first place. Don't dwell on this or let this bother you - move forward and hang around other friends or make new ones. You don't deserve to be treated in such a manner.
People will exclude others from a group because these people are probably not being "cool" enough. . These people are probably different, or as I like to say, unique. These kids may not have the UGGS or the Northface jacket. People will exclude these kids and try to make them feel terrible about themselves. That kid should probably find new friends. Show the excluders that you don't care about what they think of you. Even better, show the excluders that you were higher than them. Don't show your hurt. Better yet, don't be hurt. But by all means, don't stoop to their level and exclude them back or be a bully in any way.
just back away and don't talk to them
well i would just try to not get out of my house often or just hide from them.

Although they are supposed to be your friend, sadly, doesn't guarantee that they are a true friend. They either lied because they truly wanted to do something to hurt you or had their best interests at heart excluding you or both, and friends certainly don't do things like that.
It appears this new generation has suddenly formed a club of wanting to be friends with exes whether they were going together or married. It is wiser to not remain friends and go your separate ways and move forward in your life. Anyone who wants to be friends with their ex (excluding if children are involved) and is seeing someone else just wants their cake and eat it to.
I enjoy all the bands from the 70's, excluding ABBA.
