As individual private citizens. police officers can have political affiliations, that is their right under the Constitution.

However, when on duty, or in uniform, they may not express their political views or affiliation, as that tends to give the appearance that they, in fact, not be impartial. Law enforcement officers are held to enforce the law regardless of bias, partiality, or political persuasion.
