Because this is how the moon cycle works:

MOON---EARTH---SUN=full moon

EARTH---MOON---SUN=new moon.

So, when you see the moon during the daytime, it's because its orbit is interfering with the Sun's. But during a full moon, when the moon is behind the Earth, it cannot interfere. See?

Why do lunar eclipses happen at night?

When you see a lunar eclipse, it's always at night on your part of the earth. -- A lunar eclipse can only occur at the exact time of the Full Moon. -- The Full Moon is visible only in the night sky. So obviously, if you are in a place where you can see the Full Moon, then you are in a place where you can see a lunar eclipse if one is in progress, and it is night-time where you are.

Does a lunar eclipse happen during night?

They happen in space, on the Moon - but since it only happens at the full moon, you will only be able to see one during the night.

What is the moon phase when you can see the entire moon on the sky at night?

Can you see more stars on a moonless night or one with a full moon?

on a moon less night.

Why does the lunar eclipse takes only at night and during full moon?

Full moon means the sun is on one side of the earth and the moon is on the other. Sometimes the moon passes through the shadow of the earth at the moment of full moon. If you are on the sunny side of the earth (daytime!), you can't see the eclipse; if you are on the dark side of the earth (night!), you can see it.

Can we only see the full moon at night?

I think we dont becuse somtimes you can see it like around 7:00pm and am

Why don't we see a full moon every night?

because the position of the moon between the earth and the sun only allows us to see part of it. hence the 28 day cycle in which we can see a full moon once every 28 days.

Can you see moon at night today?

Yes and i think it is going to be a full moon.

'When a full moon occurs if there were people on the moon would they see a 'full' Earth'?

Not necessarily. Think about it... if you can see a full moon in the middle of the night, then someone on the moon would be able to see your part of the earth.... which would be in darkness.

Why is a completely full moon impossible?

it's not, but you can only see it when you're on the exact line of day and night. Think about it!

Why do we not see the moon during full moon?

The only reasons why you wouldn't be able to see the full moon would be that either it is daytime (the full moon rises at sunset, and sets at sunrise), or it is during totality of a lunar eclipse, or your eyes are closed. The full moon is the brightest thing in the night sky. It's almost possible to read by it.
