Once the Revolution began,several countries declared war on France, and France declared war on just about everybody. Plainly, in a state of war, it is treason to correspond with the enemy, and ev en more so to attempt to join the enemy. Louis XVI and his Queen (whose brother was Emperor of Austria and the principal enemy)did both these things.

∙ 15y agoThe French people were starting a revolution to overthrow the monarchy. Eventually the revolutionists suceeded in overthrowing Louis and Marie then proceded to execute them.
