Christian tradition says that Satan was expelled, along with many of the angels, from heaven because he saw himself as equal to God. This belief implies that the angels did not realise that God was greater than they. When considered rationally, this is certainly inconsistent with broader Christian belief.
Not only did Satan not aspire to have a throne in heaven, but Satan and heaven do not really exist.

∙ 9y agoSatan has never wanted to be called anything of the sort. Over the years to make the so-called Satan look cooler and more menacing, writers and Hollywood refer to Satan as "The Prince of Darkness", as opposed to Jesus as The Prince of Peace. These empty words would mean nothing to such powerful entities.

∙ 9y agoAs far as I know, there is nothing scriptural about a devil wanting a throne in heaven. Ther are plenty mythical stories about the devil/satan trying to overthrow heaven for itself.
