1) He feared his daughter's safety, one concert that she played in Mexico, the people almost broke down the stage.
2) He always wanted to be accepted around the American's. He was a English singing Mexican. No one wanted to hear a Mexican sing blues. He tried desperately to fit in. He was living his dreams through his daughter.
