All people need rules to live by or else there is chaos. A good example of a society without rules is Somalia A family is the same way. A family is a group of people who are connected through relationships and to have the family group work correctly the members of the group need to have a set of rules to live by. Otherwise all you have a group of individuals living in the same place. When working together more can be done and the group can set goals for individuals as well as the group. It makes for a much happier life.

Every family needs to have set of rules to follow, just like when we were young and with our parents. If we don't have rules, how do you think our children will grow up? How can they learn respect, trust and manners if we don't teach them and part of the family rules. Family rules may sound harsh but it's not. Family rules gives us things to obey and follow and if we think about them it is the right things for all of us.

Family rules are the established rules for behaviour in a family. They have no application over anyone else. Guests usually abide by family rules our of courtesy. Like Fight Club family members do not generally discuss family rules with "outsiders". They might be very commons rules of politeness, for doing chores, language to be used or very strange rules like nobody talks about Uncle Billy's job as an assassin, nobody wears clothes in the house or no knife throwing upstairs.
