I would have to disagree that most look brand new. If you were familiar with the various models and years of production, you'd know whether they were or not. But there'll be a number of reasons why a truck would look brand new. For one, a lot of drivers (particularly owner operators with customized trucks) place high importance on maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle. A lot of your major carriers won't run a truck as long as a smaller company which has to make a truck last longer, so they'll receive large quantities of new trucks more often. Also, the paint on a CMV tends to be a bit more durable than what's used for a regular passenger vehicle, which helps a lot with the vehicle's appearance.
