∙ 8y agoDrunk driving kills people. Not always, but too frequently, and it leaves other people severely handicapped, especially the innocent victims.
Alcohol is widely used because it reduces stress by quieting areas of the brain. When driving a vehicle, any of these is enough to cause a tragic accident, and all three are at play! Perversely, the inebriated individual will very often fail to appreciate the impairment!

Public programs include driver education, tougher DUI laws, alcoholic beverage laws, mandatory sentencing, and installing breathalyzer interlocks.
