A lot of people just like the way the Gothic style looks. Yet, a lot are also nursing abuses or serious pains, and therefore identify with the dark clothing and heavy makeup that they can hide behind. It can be both a way to escape from pain and a way to expose and deal with pain in an embracing way.

∙ 13y agoThey are not judging you because you are goth. They are judging you because you are significantly different from the norm that they are accustomed to. They will stop judging you just as soon as you behave the way they would prefer.
