Why do people pick on Jewish people?

The bullies believe wrong things about Jewish persons and believe they are different from others. They believe negative stereotypes about them related to wealth. Or the bullies might even have antisemitic views.

First, the hypothesis of the question is highly debatable. Several people alive today are known to refrain
from making fun of the Jews.

This is not to say that there are not those who do so. Although their reasons are known only to themselves,
some motives my be speculated, and it would be up to them to refute these suggestions.

It may be surmised that the reasons are ignorance in the uninformed, and guilt and jealousy in the informed.

nothing. people simply make fun of them because of what they do, like not doing anything electric on Saturdays and have a strict way of living that's different than most people. They do nothing wrong to others, but people hate them for being what they are, not because they did anything. Many don't understand it but go along with it. good question.

Prejudice and hate come in many forms, for many reasons. For example, I had to delete the previous answer to this question, because it was hateful.

People hate what they do not understand. Religous based hatred comes from misinterpreting the values of one's religion to justify hurting other people.

And it is a mater of fact that, as ALL MEN WERE CREATED EQUAL, Jews take the law of God in their own hands and moudl it to their own benefit.
