The fan is removing air from the house, and the condensation that is in the air. If air flow is blocked the condensation will accumulate and in the pipe and drip back down. If you live in a cold environment air again leaves through the pipe and will accumulate in the duct when the temperature in the duct falls the moisture turns back into water and drips back. At the fan there will be a "door" that shuts with no air flow and opens when the fan pushes the air into it. Check to see that the door opens and closes freely and that the duct is not compressed or kinked. Ideally there should not be too many bends in it and it should lead up and out or across and out, not up and down then out, it should also be insulated as well to reduce temperature differences.

I have seen some fans installed and whomever installed it screwed the duct on but put the screw threw the flapper door thus blocking the air flow.

Will the Broan 688 Exhaust Fan fit over my stove?

As it is small enough to fit over your stove if you have some place to attach it to, it is recommended as a BATHROOM exhaust fan and probably not best with the extreme heats of cooking.

Why is my exhaust fan dripping?

That is not something that is normal. You’ll have to get a bigger exhaust fan. The Air conditioning company will be the ones who do that.

You must either have an exhaust fan or a window in the bathroom, and a range exhaust hood over the stove, or an exhaust fan that drives away any smoke, in the kitchen.

Whats better a Ceiling fan or a stove fan in the kitchen?

I have both types of fans in my kitchen. I use the ceiling fan to move the air around the kitchen when it is hot outside. The stove fan is used when I fry foods like fish, I do not like the smell of fish lingering in my kitchen.

Where would one use a hood filter?

One would use a hood filter over a stove (also called a range) that has an exhaust fan mounted in a hood over the stove. The filter is used to trap large particles and pollutants and prevent them from recirculating, improving the air quality in the kitchen and surrounding areas.

would it be possible to mount this microwave over my stove in my kichen does it have a fan or light under it?

Absolutely, you can even do that by yourself because if the size is right, the microwave would fit right into your countertop with a few screws. The microwave has a fan under it but no lights.
