How do you get resurrected?

This is one of... if not THE... most misunderstood concepts in The Bible: coming to life again after one dies. But the Bible does teach it.

The FIRST RESURRECTION is prophesied to occur WHEN CHRIST RETURNS TO THE EARTH! The religions and churches of the world don't recognize the teaching... but it's clearly stated in Scripture. This First Resurrection is the time at the conclusion of God's plan for the "salvation of the saints"... the ones whom God has been "calling out of the world for His Holy purpose," [sanctifying] since the beginning of man's creation - Abel being the first:

"It was by Faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. God accepted Abel's offering to show that he was a Righteous man. And although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us because of his Faith." (Heb.11:4 NLT New Living Translation)

The popular, yet, misunderstood, passage in scripture regarding this First Resurrection at Christ's return, is I Corinthians 15:51-52:

"...let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us. Not all of us will die, but WE WILL ALL BE TRANSFORMED. It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, WHEN THE LAST Trumpet IS BLOWN. For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died WILL BE RAISED WITH TRANSFORMED BODIES. And we who are living will be transformed SO THAT WE WILL NEVER DIE." (NLT)

THIS is the reason for "getting resurrected." TO BE CHANGED INTO THE IMMORTAL CHILDREN OFGOD!

Yet, the Bible clearly teaches that this time doesn't occur in God's plan until Christ returns... NOT at the time of a man's FIRST DEATH [which is another misunderstood biblical teaching of which the churches of the world seem ignorant].

In the book of Revelation, which is written "chronologically"... that is, "in the order of end time events as they shall occur in the future" -- in chapter 19, Jesus returns with His angelic army and destroys man's governments and all of man's ability to wage war. In chapter 20, we see Satan removed from his rulership of the earth for a thousand years [the time frame of Jesus' rule]. And we see Christ's saints ruling the Kingdom of God on earth over the nations of the earth, that have survived the Great Tribulation [as well as Christ's forced takeover of the earth]:

"Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to Judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus, for proclaiming the Word of God. And I saw the souls of those who had not worshiped the Beast of his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. THEY CAME TO LIFE AGAIN, and they REIGNED WITH CHRIST FOR A THOUSAND YEARS.

"THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.) (Rev.20:4-5 NLT)

The world doesn't know this part of God's plan, because the deceived religions and churches of the world are ignorant of it, through the deceptions of this world's god whom they worship and serve. And yet, in spite of this world's ignorance of God's Truth... this is what the Bible clearly says; and:

This is why the saints of God shall "get resurrected," FIRST! To be changed into the first generation of God's Children. The generation of LEADERS who shall RULE THE KINGDOM OF GOD over the mortal nations of the earth, to teach them God's laws and God's ways -- for a thousand years.

And at the end of the thousand year rule... "the rest of the dead" [all the past generations of man who lived and died in ignorance of God's Truth] will "resurrect" to their time and opportunity "to be transformed and born into God's Immortal Family."

So far... Jesus Christ is the only man to have experienced this "resurrection" [this human transformation to Immortality] -- to show us what God is doing with mankind -- saving man from DEATH; the wages of sin. From the wages man has earned by working for this world's god.

Mankind SHALL "get resurrected" -- to be born into the future Immortal Family of God!

"...I will be their God, and THEY WILL BE MY CHILDREN." (Rev.21:7 NLT)

Christian belief is that at Christ's return the dead in Christ are resurrected to eternal life, and unbelievers are resurrected to eternal punishment.

The souls of believers are immediately with the Lord at their death. The resurrection will be a joining of their souls to their resurrected, transformed bodies. You can find relevant Scripture in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5.
