The cause of why Bangladesh flooded is that through Bangladesh flows a lot of rivers like Atrai River, Feni River and Titas River which flow from the Himalayas. There is also lots of snow piling up on top of the Himalayas but thanks to global warming the snow is melting and flooding down into the cities. In the last summer there was much rain and tropical cyclones. Because Bangladesh is 80% flat, with rising sea levels it floods up to the cities on the bay, ruining the crops.

Well for a start the vast majority of Bangladesh is on a flood plain, and so is prone to flooding anyway. The population of Bangladesh is huge and most of the people are very poor- where are you suggesting they move to, and how would they find the money? Not only this, but their livelihoods are there; the poor fishermen have no other job than to work at sea, and so must live nearby, and the floods fertilise the soil by depositing river sediment and so it's good for farming.

Hi !! :)

Right,Here are 5 reasons Bangladesh floods:

1) Has 3 Large rivers flowing through Bangladesh

2) Around 80% of the land is flat

3) People in Bangladesh cut down lots of their trees

4) Has monsoon rains

5) Uses lots of land to make buildings

Hope this has been helpful for my friends and others who are learning about Bangladesh floods. (I know these because i have been taught this...) :)

It's because India put a barrage on Ganges (Farakka Barrage) and during rainy seasons they open that barrage, and extra water over flows Bangladesh.
