each of them (33mill) represent different qualities of one supreme god i.e Ganesha represents intellect.

It is not necessary that all hindus will consider all Gods and Goddesses are representation of any Supreme God. Perhaps some people think so, but they should not make this sound as the opinion of all hindus. And regarding Supreme God or Goddess, different hindus give this honor to different Gods. That is why we have 'vaishnavas' (worshipers of Lord Vishnu), 'shaivas (worshipers of Lord Shiva), and Shaktas (worshipers of Mother Goddess). I think, there is no shame attached to being a polytheist, as if the monotheists have some evidence that there is only one God in the world. There are monists and atheists also in Hinduism.

Hinduism included many deities. The reason is that Hinduism is not monocity .Hinduism is generally associated with a multiplicity of Gods, and it does not advocate the worship of one particular deity. The Gods and Goddesses of Hinduism amount to thousands and the only supreme is Brahma.
