Common sign of a bad flasher. It is a relay that plugs into fuse box. Usually electrical or thermally controlled, also controls speed of blinks. There are universal ones in most auto parts stores, but they have differing numbers of blade terminals. Just match up yours or order one specifically for your car on Ebay or a dealer, etc..

What makes a blinker light go faster than normal?

Why does one signal light blink faster than the other?

If you are referring to the blinker indicators on the dash board, it is because one the signal light bulbs need to be replaced. The side that blinks faster is the side where the bulb needs to be replaced. Turn the blinker on and walk around the car to see if it is the rear or front bulb that needs replacement.

Why does a 2001 Jetta right turn signal blink erratically?

If your blinker is blinking at a faster rate than normal, it usually means that one of the bulbs is out. For example, if the left turn signal blinks faster than usual, check either the front or the rear left turn signal. If both turn signals seem okay, check the front left parking light. (this is the front orange light that is on when your headlights are on)

What causes brake lights to flash when left blinker is turned on?

when you flip your blinker on, a relay in the circuit is activated which turns the light on and off. also, the front blinker and rear blinker usually alternate in turning off and on, so when the back is on, the front will be off, and reverse.. that's why when a bulb is out, the clicking sound in the vehicle goes faster than when both are in working order.

02 F 150 V8 4.6L rear driverside blinker does not work and blinker signal on dash flashes 10x faster than the right side signal HELP?

Probably a burned out bulb. Many vehicles do that to draw attention to the fact that a bulb is burned out. it blinks realy fast just to let you know the light bulb is out. turn on your emergency flashers, look at all the lights to see which one is not blinking and replace it, you will be good as new. It sounds like you have a faulty bulb, and the system is signaling you.
